Insights from the MWC 2025

The Mobile World Congress, held from March 3 to 6, has closed its doors with record attendance after three days of ongoing activity. 109.000 attendees and 2.900 exhibitors were registered, 7 % more than last edition. The international presence was also noteworthy, with official delegations from 148 countries and more than 2,900 media outlets.
This year’s theme revolved around AI-driven solutions to transform businesses, digital innovation and connectivity. More than 1,200 presentations and debates were held on technological trends and their social and economic impact, registering close to half a million unique views through the event’s official digital platforms.
As every year, Telecoming was one of the 50 companies which represented Spain at the MWC, by the hand of Red.es Our team counted with the representation of members from three key areas of the company: operations, product and marketing.
On the operational front, under the leadership of Alí Karaosman (Regional Operations Director for the Middle East and Asia), efforts were concentrated on exploring opportunities in emerging markets, such as the United Arab Emirates and Ethiopia. Additionally, our portfolio of services was presented, with Madridistas (our digital service for Real Madrid FC) standing out as the flagship product.
Madridistas Premium is the official program for Real Madrid fans, offering a wide range of benefits and greater discounts, such as the Madridistas digital ID card and access to the RM Play platform with all content unlocked.

“The crowning jewel of MWC 2025 has been, undoubtedly, artificial intelligence. Generative interfaces have become a common factor in all the stands and the key towards future business development across the different fields.”
Alí Karaosman, Regional Operations Director – MEA & ZA at Telecoming
The product team visited the 4YFN area. This is an event that brings together technology startups, investors, corporations and public institutions to generate synergies and joint business agreements.
Last but not least, the marketing front, led by Gokhan Varlikli (our Chief Marketing Officer) conducted several conversations with both actual and potential partners to discuss future business agreements.

“In my fourth consecutive year attending the MWC I must highlight the undeniable growth of the startup pavilion. It is representative of the national economic landscape, where startups have become the engine of every industry. Besides, this generalized growth is a direct result of the implementation of AI in business strategy.”
David Murillo, Product Director at Telecoming

“Keeping a personalised touch in meetings with partners is essential to establish professional ties and explore new opportunities together.”
Gokhan Varlikli, Chief Marketing Officer at Telecoming
Also noteworthy was the participation of Benhamadi Mohamed (Managing Director) in a panel called “Sports Content Monetization: Slam Dunk or Dummy?” at the MEF Global Forum, held March 2–3 at Barcelona. The panel explored the opportunities Direct Carrier Billing has to offer in the field of sports monetization.
Attending MWC once again this year has been a very enriching experience. We thank Red.es for their support and for providing us with a space where we could transmit our expertise and passion for technology.
See you next year! 👋
